California Trip November 2009

I just returned from a fantastic trip to California to visit my daughter Jessica and my two beautiful grandchildren Alex and Elizabeth. What an amazing time it was! Spending time with Alex and "Lizzie" was long over due for me as they are growing up so fast. I feel so blessed to have the wonderful daughter that I have too. Jessica was the epitome of gracious, kind and thoughtful as always. We visited San Francisco for the day with the kids and she spent time showing me around the base. She and her husband Jesse live at Travis AFB in Northern California. Unfortunately, Jesse was away on military training and I missed him by a couple of days. However, I did have the opportunity to meet some of Jessica's friends who were absolutely amazing.

Mica (and her son Dakota) who I feel is like a second daughter and also her long time friend Katie and her son "Bean". I haven't seen Katie since Jessica's wedding 10 years ago. I've always loved Katie since the days back in Southern California when the two of them became best friends in Jr. High. I met many of Jessica's extended family/friends who were all so lovely.

Alex and Lizzie are two of the best grandchildren and I truly love them with all my heart. Alex is a sweet soul and I enjoyed our early morning chats before everyone else got up in the morning. Lizzie is just a bundle of "fun" and had me laughing so much of the time. I'm very proud of my daughter Jessica for doing such a great job with her kids.

As much fun as it was, I was also happy to return home to my Brian. I missed him loads!
